The official poster for the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games was a combination of photography and computer-animated graphics.
At the bottom of the poster, the photo of a torch-bearer running to the left reflects the motto of the Games ‘Harmony and Progress’. The bright Olympic circles symbolise the Olympic spirit and with their colours, they represent Korea as the ‘Land of the Morning Calm’.
