Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi (b. 1981) wore this shirt when he became the first Omani and the first footballer from the Middle East to reach an English Football Association Cup final. Al Habsi was part of the Wigan Athletic squad that won the FA Cup for the first time in their history by beating Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on 11 May 2013. Although Al Habsi was not called on to play in this particular game, he was an integral part of the team’s winning season.
