This Tiara was among the jewels of one of the most striking items with three strands of splendid pearls, a comb in pearl olive leaves. The Cartier wreath diamond tiara was originally set with emeralds and there was a pear shaped diamond hanging from the center which had been sold previously, it was sold in 1999 and it’s now in the Albion Art collection in its original setting (without the emeralds/rubies). Princess Marie replaced the hanging diamond with one of her stars at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
