This little gold flask is decorated with a bold geometric pattern using the granular technique of small beads of gold arranged in a design with tiny gold rings. Two handles were attached to the sides of the body and lid.
Used as a perfume container, this finely decorated gold flask was probably made in Fatimid Syria or Seljuq Iran during the 5th or 6th century AH/11th or 12th century CE.
