A series of posters were created for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, divided into three groups: theme posters, people, and sports posters.
The International Olympic Committee chose this one as the official poster of the Games, from the set of the three themed posters.
Depicting birds flying over a mountainous landscape it echoes the style of traditional Chinese painting. It also reflects the concept of ‘Green Games’ which was promoted by the Beijing Games.
The poster includes the emblem of the Games ‘Chinese Seal, Dancing Beijing’, which is also connected with the artistic traditions of the country.
